How The Year Started.

I need to write. I don’t know how many out there actually read what I write but I am back at it again. I started writing again back in late February, then stopped. Came back a few days later which was March, edited what I had written already to fit March and then that is as far as I got. Here is what I wrote:-

Well my last blog talked about a couple of things. One of those was doing what I say I am going to do and another was that I would do 2 blogs a month in 2018. Whoops! Well, starting March, I will be doing at least 2 blogs a month and by the end of the year it will average out to 2 every month. Here’s the summary of why none in January or February. Moved home and the internet didn’t work for a while and our stuff (including the computer) didn’t arrive until a week after we did. More detail? Here we go…

….well, not the most inspiring. Well here is the continuation and reason it stopped. Also the new promise so you don’t have to worry about weekly dribble from me to get the number of blogs up.

As readers of my blog/Facebook/Twitter/Instagram would already know, my daughter Hayley finished and won her cancer battle and was announced in COMPLETE REMISSION on 22nd December 2017. We decided that we needed a dramatic change in life and scenery so we packed up and moved interstate.

Looked it up on the GPS and worked out that I had never lived more than 111km from the hospital that I was born in. So to move about 2,000km away to somewhere I have never even been before was a little daunting. We culled so many things to make the move as easy and affordable as possible. Nostalgia was something that had to be seriously considered and a lot of stuff binned. We sold a lot of stuff at our garage sale too. We found a house that would almost fit us all in and left.

I sent Leia and the kids up in time to organise school, uniforms, etc and get started while I continued to pack. Then, after day 1 of school, Leia flew back down to help with the finishing touches, load the car with some stuff and the dog and begin our drive.

Two days later we pulled into the driveway of our new home. About 100km further north than the most North I had ever been before in my life.

So that my blogs aren’t too long and boring, this will continue next week. I will attempt to keep my  promise of 2 blogs per month but starting now, so 14 for the year.
