I first became a father in September 1991 at the ripe old age of 19. My sons mother was my first real relationship, first love and 2nd heartbreak. She and I were never to be. But in the words of her sister at his 18th birthday, he’s the greatest possible result from a mistake. I prefer to think of it as a learning experience as apposed to a mistake.
In 1995 I met the true love of my life. She was the best friend of the little sister of a guy I made friends with while we were both trying, unsuccessfully, to pick up the same girl at the local video store. Yes, as in VHS renting. In 1997 we were engaged and in 1999 we were married. She convinced me to push forward and pursue my dreams of being an actor which, via a chance meeting, led me down the path of stand up comedy as well.
Since then we have been blessed with 3 beautiful children. Another son in 2001,
a daughter in 2004,
and a break then another daughter in 2009.
I hope my stories of fatherhood, long distance fatherhood, my journey trying to make it in the entertainment industry as well as various other aspects of my life will be enjoyed by many. I hope they entertain, make you think and sometimes even make you laugh.
